Atkins Dellow Graphic Designer, Victoria Rhodes is running 60 miles in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Atkins Dellow Solicitors, a well-recognised firm of solicitors in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk announced that their Graphic Designer, Victoria Rhodes will be taking part in this year’s 60 Mile a Month Challenge in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association. She was inspired by ex- professional rugby player, Rob Burrow, who suffers from Motor Neurone Disease as a result of a bad head collision while playing rugby after reading Kevin Sinfield’s autobiography – The Extra Mile.
Motor Neurone Disease affects around 5,000 adults across the UK and is a condition where the nerves known as Motor Neurones, found in your brain and spine which tell your muscles what to do, don’t work.
Victoria will be running 2 miles every day in August to reach a total of 60 miles in a month and hopes to raise lots of money for the noble cause. As a law firm, Atkins Dellow are in full support of her commitment to the challenge and fundraising campaign.
On the topic of why Victoria has chosen to take part in this year’s 60 Miles a Month Challenge in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, Victoria said:
“Back in May, when I saw Kevin Sinfield carry Rob Burrow over the Leeds Marathon finish line for MNDA, I was completely moved by the strong friendship and determination.”
“I followed Kevin Sinfield’s incredible journey and fundraising after reading his autobiography, and thought why can’t I do something to help. I have always enjoyed running and 60 miles in one month felt like the perfect challenge.”
